Two defeats to start
England have two Autumn Nations Series games left to play this year and will hope to pick up their first win after agonising defeats to New Zealand’s All Blacks and Australia’s Wallabies at Twickenham.
Last weekend England lost 42-37 to Australia in a thriller at Twickenham. Max Jorgensen’s late try was Australia’s fifth, matching England’s five tries from Chandler Cunningham-South (2), Ollie Sleightholme (2) and Maro Itoje.
Defeat means England have lost five of their last six internationals and they were beaten last time out against South Africa, losing 16-15 in the Rugby World Cup semi-final in Paris to the eventual champions.
South Africa meanwhile are fresh off the back of a 32-15 win over Scotland at Murrayfield in their first Autumn Nations Series fixture. They will play Wales in Cardiff in their final game of the month.
England’s final match will be against Japan on Sunday, November 24 at 4.10pm. The match will also be shown on TNT Sports in the UK.
Team news
England will be without Immanuel Feyi-Waboso, who is ruled out with an head injury sustained in the defeat to Australia. Tom Curry will also miss the game and Bath’s Ted Hill and Sale’s Tom Roebuck have been called up as replacements in the squad.
