After securing a 15-9 win against Wasps at the AJ Bell Stadium, Sale Sharks prop Ross Harrison was extremely proud of his team following their woeful defensive display against Exeter the previous week.

Harrison added that after their 33-17 defeat against Chiefs last week, the team put more effort into their defensive drills in the practices leading up to the Wasps game, which proved to be a success according to the prop.

"When we were away at Exeter, they used the pick and go against us and for us, to come back from that and not concede any tries today, was important," he told salesharks.com

"We have been working on our defence in training since that game and it was really good to see that it is paying off when we step onto the pitch.

"First half it was really close, credit to Wasps they made it a really tough game and ran us close but we managed to pip them at the post."
