Gopperth cited for Tait elbow

Date published: November 2 2015

Jimmy Gopperth has been cited for his elbow to the head of Mathew Tait during Wasps' defeat to Leicester on Saturday.

The Kiwi fly-half was sin-binned at the time as he chased down a high kick and connected with Tait's head as the Leicester player caught the ball.

Gopperth will appear before an RFU Disciplinary Panel on Tuesday November 3 for punching or striking, contrary to law 10.4(a), during Leicester Tigers vs London Wasps on November 1.

The hearing will take place in Coventry and is being chaired by William Harbage QC.
