Gloucester have announced that loose forward Gareth Evans has re-signed with the club.
The 25-year-old has spent his entire club career to date with Gloucester, a product of the Gloucester Academy, and has made 65 competitive appearances to date.
Evans recently returned to first team action after a short spell out, featuring in the impressive home win over La Rochelle and also scoring a try in Big Game Nine against Harlequins at Twickenham.
He admits that it's good to have his future sorted and the loyalty of the club means a lot to him.
"I'm obviously delighted to have signed on again. It's always nice to have that sort of security, to know that your future is locked down and that you can focus 100% on your rugby," Evans told the Gloucester website.
"It was all pretty easy to be honest. Once the offer was in place and we'd had the talks between myself, my agent and David (Humphreys) and he'd made it clear to me that they were keen to keep me, it was all fairly straightforward.
"I've been at the club for a while now, got a lot of friends here. I like the area, I like the club, the club's always been good to me. It wasn't that hard a decision.
"It's awesome for me as I probably haven't been able to give as much as I would have liked on the pitch for the past season and a bit. And for the club to say that they still see me as a valuable part of the squad is a big vote of confidence.
"That gives me the confidence to keep working hard, give everything I can and do as much as I can for Gloucester."
