Folau set for new deal

Israel Folau is set to sign a three-year extension with the ARU to stay in Australia according to reports.

The Wallaby star has been linked with a return to the NRL, as well as a move to Europe, but Fox Sports are reporting that a new deal is imminent.

That would keep him at the Waratahs until the end of the 2018 season, while also allowing him to spend one season playing in Japan during the Australian off-season.

Folau was part of the Waratahs team that was beaten in the Super Rugby semi-finals by the Highlanders and will apparently sign the new deal before the start of the Rugby Championship.
