Fiji Sevens head coach Ben Ryan has announced his squad that will travel to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil for the upcoming 2016 Olympic Games.

Ryan admitted it was a tough task, not just selecting his group but also telling those players who were not picked their fate for August.

"I knew I was going to have difficult decisions," he said, with the experienced Osea Kolinisau leading a star-studded squad that includes both Leone Nakarawa and Josua Tuisova, who impressed late in the World Series.

"And you want to have difficult decisions. Last night I sat in my bure (room) and one by one the boys came in and one by one I told them their fate and to a man they were outstanding in the way they took their news.

"If they weren't selected they thanked us, they shook our hands and they left with their heads held high."
