England fly-half Owen Farrell is expected to return to action at the end of April after he underwent knee surgery, his club Saracens confirmed.
The 23-year-old playmaker suffered the injury against Clermont in a recent Champions Cup clash, which ruled him out of this year’s Six Nations.
But now after undergoing surgery on the knee problem, Saracens have issued a brief update as to their number ten’s procedure and a likely return date.
“Owen Farrell had successful knee ligament surgery on Friday,” they said.
“The fly-half is expected to be unavailable until the end of April.”
