Following a 41-17 victory over the Stormers in their Champions Cup fixture at Sandy Park on Saturday, here are the player ratings for Exeter Chiefs.

15 Tom Wyatt: Has overtaken Josh Hodge in the pecking order and once again impressed, evidenced by his well-take try early on. 7

14 Jack Nowell (c): Took a few knocks but never took a backwards step and caused numerous problems for the Stormers. 8

13 Henry Slade: Some lovely touches from the England centre, who was creative in the midfield and knitted the backline together. 7

12 Sean O’Brien: Solid from the Irishman but was the quietest member of the backline. 6

11 Olly Woodburn: Magnificent from the wing on both sides of the ball. Woodburn constantly made ground with ball in hand, with his try just reward for his efforts, but he also made 13 tackles without it. Superb. 9

10 Joe Simmonds: Chiefs boss Rob Baxter has rotated him and Harvey Skinner during the campaign, but Simmonds very much put his hand up for a regular starting spot. Controlled the game beautifully. 8

9 Will Becconsall: Gave Exeter something which Maunder really hasn’t this season which is quick ball. Excellent service and a lovely pass. 8

Pack step up to Stormers power

8 Sam Simmonds: Has had his injury troubles this season, but the number eight is starting to find his best. He backed up his effort from last week nicely. 8

7 Christ Tshiunza: An understated but efficient display from the Welshman, who got through lots of work. 7

6 Jannes Kirsten: Carried plenty and put in a few big shots on defence before being replaced by Dave Ewers. 7

5 Dafydd Jenkins: A very mature display from the talented youngster, who did well in the lineout and also carried plenty. 8

4 Jonny Gray: Stood up to a physical Stormers; he did brilliantly, especially in the maul. Won one excellent turnover in the set-piece and, as ever, didn’t miss a tackle. 8

3 Marcus Street: Let’s be honest, he ‘cheated’ well. Plenty of collapses to make sure the scrum was never really a factor in the game, despite being under pressure. 6

2 Dan Frost: Continues to shine from the start. Gets through a mountain of work and is an incredible athlete, while his set-piece is solid. 8

1 Scott Sio: See Street as Sio did his job in the set-piece, but did not make much impact in the loose. 6

Replacements: The game was effectively over when they made changes, but there was still a good impact from the front-row and big Dave Ewers. 7
