England jump above Wales, France drop to 10th

Victory over Ireland has moved England up one spot in the World Rugby Rankings to third place, above Wales, while France fall to 10th position.

World Rugby report that England would have climbed above Ireland into second position had replacement John Cooney not grabbed a late score.

Due to the Dublin defeat, however, a decrease in their ratings points means New Zealand have now extended their lead at the top to 3.17 points.

As mentioned Wales drop down to fourth spot despite edging France in Paris, with Les Bleus now at their joint lowest ranking since records began.

Scotland and Italy remain in seventh and 15th position respectively following the match at Murrayfield, which the Scots won 33-20 on Saturday.
