Eight-try win for Canterbury

Canterbury made it four bonus-point victories in a row as they thumped Hawke's Bay, winning 63-7 at AMI Stadium in Christchurch on Sunday.

They scored eight tries in total, with six of those coming during the second-half, as they ran away with matters in the Mitre 10 Cup game.

Geoff Bridge and Scott Barrett crossed in the first period and the boot of Richie Mo'unga added 13 points to make it 23-7 at the interval.

Jonah Lowe was the Magpies' try-scorer but after the break it was all Canterbury as Dominic Bird, Ben Funnell, Nathan Earle, Rob Thompson (2) and Jordie Barrett crossed in a masterclass that puts Scott Robertson's in-form side four points clear of Auckland with a game in hand.
