Dragons boss Lyn Jones, who missed Saturday's Challenge Cup win over Gloucester through illness, was spotted at Harlequins training last week.

Jones, who previously worked in the Premiership as director of rugby at London Welsh, also missed Monday's Supporters' Forum with speculation growing over his future at Rodney Parade.

“Lyn Jones was interestingly down at the Stoop on Thursday when we were doing our team run and I spoke to him and said 'good luck' for the weekend,” Harlequins number eight Nick Easter told Sky Sports.

The Premiership side are currently searching for a new director of rugby with Conor O'Shea departing at the end of the season to take over as head coach of Italy.

Kingsley Jones oversaw the Dragons' shock win over Gloucester on Saturday with Lyn Jones absent.

Speaking at Monday's forum, Dragons chief executive Stuart Davies told WalesOnline: “[Lyn] is director of rugby and he’s subject to ailments like the rest of us.

“He’s off work. In fairness to Kingsley (Jones), I thought he did well stepping in.”
