Racing 92 centre Henry Chavancy has been called up by France head coach Guy Novès ahead of the 2017 Six Nations.

Chavancy will join the squad after star centre Wesley Fofana was ruled out of the tournament having injured his Achilles tendon playing for Clermont against Exeter on Saturday.

The 28-year-old Chavancy is uncapped but has been in good form over the last two seasons for his club, the reigning Top 14 champions.

Chavancy has also turned out for the French Barbarians in the past and will prove competition for Yann David, Rémi Lamerat and Gaël Fickou.
