Champions Cup: Francois Cros starts at number eight for Toulouse while Sharks are without two key Springboks
Five-time winners Toulouse will look to make yet another Champions Cup semi-final when they take on competition debutants the Sharks at the Stade Ernest-Wallon.
Toulouse make four changes
Toulouse head coach Ugo Mola has made four changes to his starting lineup that defeated the Bulls.
Three of the changes come in the forward pack, with just one change to the backs.
Pierre-Louis Barassi returns to the starting lineup and replaces Santiago Chocobares at outside centre. Pita Ahki fills the number 12 jersey with Romain Ntamack at flyhalf and Antoine Dupont captaining the side from scrum-half.
Thomas Ramos starts at fullback with Juan Cruz Mallia and Matthis Lebel on the wings.
Francois Cros moves from the number seven jersey to pack down at number eight, with Alexandre Roumat dropping to the bench. Thibaud Flament is promoted from the bench and fills the number seven jumper. Jack Willis retains the six jersey.
Emmanuel Meafou and Richie Arnold continue in the second row. Peato Mauvaka and Julien Marchand swap roles with Mauvaka starting in between loosehead Cyril Baille and tighthead Dorian Aldegheri.
Mola has opted for a six-two split on the bench. Marchand, Rodrigue Neti and David Ainu’u provide front row cover.
Alexandre Roumat, Joshua Brennan and Alban Placines add further depth in the pack, with Arthur Retiere and Dimitri Delibes providing backline options.
Sharks without Eben Etzebeth and Jaden Hendrikse
Sharks director of rugby Neil Powell has been forced into making changes to the side that defeated Munster in the round of 16.
Hyron Andrews replaces injured Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth and packs down alongside Gerbrandt Grobler in the second row.
Ox Nche, Bongi Mbonambi and Thomas du Toit start in the front row again, while the back row is unchanged, with Siya Kolisi captaining the side at number six. Vincent Tshituka starts on the blindside, and Sikhumbuzo Notshe is at number eight.
Grant Williams replaces the injured Jaden Hendrikse at scrumhalf with the rest of the backline unchanged. Curwin Bosch is at flyhalf with Rohan Janse van Rensburg and Lukhanyo Am outside of him.
Try scorers against Munster, Makazole Mapimpi and Werner Kok; start on the wings with Boeta Chamberlain at fullback.
On the bench, Jeandre Labuschagne takes over from Emile van Heerden, and Cameron Wright fills Williams’ vacancy.
Ben Tapuai and Thaakir Abrahams add further backline cover, with Kerron van Vuurren, Ntuthuko Mchunu, Carlu Sadie and Phepsi Buthelezi rounding out the bench.
