Northampton Saints prop Kieran Brookes will appear before an RFU Disciplinary panel after being given a red card during a game against Newcastle last Friday.

Brookes was sent off after charging into a ruck, contrary to Law 10.4(h).

The prop was sent off by referee Andrew Jackson in the weekend’s Premiership match between Northampton Saints and Newcastle Falcons for charging into a ruck and making contact with the head of Scott Lawson of Newcastle.

The incident occurred in the 39th minute of the first half of the match.

Brookes will appear before a three-person RFU Disciplinary panel chaired by Mike Hamlin in Leeds on Tuesday 29 November.
