Western Province winger Kobus Wyk has been poached by Bordeaux-Bègles according to South African media reports.

According to Netwerk24, the 24-year-old has been signed by the Top 14 club and will join them with immediate effect.

With the news that Van Wyk is leaving, Werner Kok, who just returned from the Olympics with the South African Sevens team, is likely to replace him at wing for their clash against the Kings at home.

This news comes in the wake of full-back Jaco Taute leaving the union for Munster and flanker Rynhardt Elstadt going to Toulouse.
