Blues boosted by return of Welsh quartet

Cardiff Blues will welcome back stalwarts Sam Warburton, Alex Cuthbert, Lloyd Williams and Josh Turnbull for Friday night’s Pro12 clash with Munster.

All four Welsh internationals are expected to feature in their first outing of the season. Their return will be a timely boost for the Blues who will want to build on last week's 34-16 win over Edinburgh.

It will especially be a big return for Cuthbert, who last played in March and missed the last six months through heel and knee injuries.

Fellow Wales stars Gethin Jenkins and Gareth Anscombe are also in the frame to step up to the starting line-up having come off the bench last Saturday.

“When you talk about selection, you get the headache we wanted in terms of the recruitment that we’ve done," coach Danny Wilson told Wales Online.

“You can see we have got some real tough decisions to make. I feel now we have got two players of real quality challenging for every position. If we can keep people fit, selection really does become difficult which is what we want."

One injury blow for the Blues is the loss of hooker Kirby Myhill.

The summer recruit from the Scarlets will be out for around four to six weeks having suffered a knee ligament injury against Edinburgh.
