Bath to hang onto Ford?

Bath, according to reports, are not keen to let star fly-half George Ford leave the club at the end of the season.

Rumours circling the England number ten's future have been gaining traction recently as he apparently wants to leave the club after Mike Ford, his father, was fired at the end of last season.

Ford has been playing with the idea of triggering a clause in his contract that would see him leave the club a year early, as his contract only ends next year. But Bath have now said they will try and stop the move if they can according to The Times.

Selling the player could also be in the club's interest. His form and talent have brought a lot of interested parties to the table including Sale Sharks, Northampton Saints, Exeter Chiefs and Wasps.

And Bath coach Todd Blackadder has said that if Ford wants to leave they will let him go.

"If George makes a decision to leave at the end of the year that will be his decision and it will be one that we respect."
