All Black fly-half Beauden Barrett will slot straight back into the Hurricanes starting XV for Friday's Super Rugby showdown with the Highlanders in Napier.
Barrett has recovered from the knee problem which has kept him out for the past month but will not kick at goal this weekend.
Scrum-half TJ Perenara and full-back James Marshall are set to take over the goal-kicking this week.
"I feel comfortable to do my job as a 10 but not really the goal-kicking," Barrett told the NZ Herald.
"Because of the nature of the injury, it's an MCL, it's that side-on lateral movement [that is a problem]. So that's the last thing [required] to say that I'm 100 per cent to be a goal-kicking first-five."
Hurricanes coach Chris Boyd has decided to give in-form All Black centre Ma'a Nonu his final mandatory rest of the season this week, meaning Rey Lee-Lo returns to partner Conrad Smith in the midfield.
There are two more changes to the pack as All Blacks Victor Vito and Ben Franks return, starting ahead of Brad Shields and Jeffery Toomaga-Allen respectively.
The replacements bench has yet to be confirmed with question marks hanging over the fitness of a handful of players, notably All Black wing Cory Jane, who is struggling with a hamstring strain.
