Ayerza worry for Leicester

Leicester Tigers have suffered an injury blow after Argentina international loosehead prop Marcos Ayerza was ruled out for four to six weeks.

The 32-year-old, who is a key cog in the Tigers forward pack, will miss the team's return to Premiership duty next week at home against London Welsh.

But director of rugby Richard Cockerill explained to BBC Radio Leicester that he's not giving up hope on the prop returning in time to face Wasps on May 9.

"He has a grade-two hamstring strain that will probably be four to six weeks. But hopefully it will be nearer the four and he'll be fit to face Wasps," he said.

"He's a quick healer and it's not quite as bad as we first thought."
