‘Attempted Murder’ as club rugby player goes FULL Shawn Michaels with a ‘sweet chin music’ kick!
Crazy scenes in club rugby in Sydney!
Insane scenes from club rugby in Sydney as a clip is quickly going viral showing a defender kicking a ball carrier in the face!
The match is reportedly from a Farrant Cup match involving the Sydney Harbour Oysters and Sydney Irish – the third division in Subbies Rugby in Australia.
The Sydney Irish fullback charges toward the Harbour’s 22 and is met by a kick that Shawn Michaels would be proud of from the Oysters’ number 20.
Mad scenes in Sydney!
While Irish’s fly-half and centre stop playing, bemused by what just occurred, their scrum-half seemingly plays on before the clip cuts out.
The reactions to the video have ranged from complete outrage to what occurred to mockery.
“Ref: His sweet chin music did not connect so no foul, play on,” One reply read refrencing ex-WWE star Shawn Michaels’ iconic move.
Another added that it looks like ‘Attempted Murder’ to them with another jokingly adding ‘Game’s gone soft smh’.
TNT commentator Austin Healy was even referenced with one reply joking that he would say that he ‘seen it go either way’.
“Nothing in it just a bit of karate kid stuff play on,” another reply read.

One onlooker likened it to ex-Netherland’s footballer Nigel de Jong’s kick in the 2010 FIFA World Cup final.
“Nigel de Jong switched sports and took up amateur rugby in Australia,” they wrote.
In response to that comment, u/barejokez, found it remarkable that the Oysters’ players did not react to the situation.
“There isn’t a rugby team in the world that wouldn’t swarm an opposition player that did that. Whistle or not, 14 team mates are gonna have more than a quiet word with that chap immediately,” they wrote.
“I can’t believe the player just picked up the ball and played on. My U11 team would have earned some red cards…”
