Armitage appeals 12-week ban

Toulon back Delon Armitage has lodged an appeal against the 12-week suspension imposed on him for abusive language towards Leicester fans.

Armitage is appealing against an independent Disciplinary Committee as a result of a misconduct complaint following a Champions Cup game.

The Disciplinary Committee found that he’d directed abusive language at Tigers fans after the match and was therefore guilty of misconduct.

The appeal will be heard in London on Thursday, 8 January 2015 by an independent Appeal Committee consisting of Lorne Crerar (Scotland), Chairman, Rod McKenzie (Scotland) and Simon Thomas (Wales).
