Antoine Frisch one of NINETEEN uncapped players named in France squad
France have announced a 32-man training squad ahead of their tour to South America for games against Argentina and Uruguay, with Munster’s Antoine Frisch included.
Frisch, whose season was ended over the weekend after a United Rugby Championship semi-final loss to Glasgow Warriors, will now switch his focus to international rugby.
The in-form centre is set to join Toulon ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, but before that, he will look to impress on the international stage on this upcoming three-match tour.
Toulon-bound
Many Ireland supporters believe Frisch being overlooked by the national team has been a mistake and France have duly swooped to secure the player’s long-term services.
He’s included in France head coach Fabien Galthie’s inexperienced selection as one of 19 uncapped players for a six-day training camp in Marcoussis from June 17 to 22.
The 12 uncapped forwards included in the 32-player group in preparation for the matches against Argentina (twice) and Uruguay are Hugo Auradou, Giorgi Beria, Mickaël Guillard, Jordan Joseph, Régis Montagne, Lenni Nouchi, Matis Perchaud, Yann Peysson, Janick Tarrit, Tevita Tatafu, Killian Tixeront and Florent Vanverberghe.

Frisch is joined by Théo Attissogbe, Léo Berdeu, Léon Darricarrere, Nathanaël Hulleu, Baptiste Jauneau and Joris Jurand as the seven backs looking to earn their first cap.
Several star players from Toulouse, Stade Francais, Bordeaux-Begles and La Rochelle remain in Top 14 action as the semi-finals are poised to take place this weekend.
France will kick off their tour against Los Pumas on Saturday, July 6 in Mendoza and they will face the same opposition a week later on Saturday, July 13 in Buenos Aires.
In between those two Tests against Argentina the Les Bleus squad will face off with Uruguay on Wednesday, July 10 with that fixture set to take place in Montevideo.
