Allan, Watson brought in by Scotland

Prop Alex Allan (Glasgow Warriors) and back-row Hamish Watson (Edinburgh) have been added to the Scotland squad for the pre-Six Nations camp in St Andrews.

The pair checked into the team hotel with the rest of the group on Sunday and will begin preparations this on Monday ahead of the national team’s opening fixture against England at Murrayfield on Saturday, February 6.

The Scotland medical team also provided the following squad update.

Centre Alex Dunbar sustained a mild posterior thigh strain in Glasgow Warriors 22-5 win over Racing 92 at Rugby Park in the Champions Cup, and will require ongoing assessment and treatment.

Fellow Warriors centre Mark Bennett continues to make good progress on the shoulder injury he sustained against Racing 92 in Paris earlier this month.
