Exeter director of rugby Rob Baxter is still backing injured 23-year-old number eight Sam Simmonds for a shot at making England’s World Cup squad once he returns from a long-term knee problem.
Following a non-decision at Wasps number eight Nathan Hughes’ disciplinary hearing last night in Coventry, the reason for the delay has been revealed. According to Sky Sports it was due to a tweet.

Wasps’ team announcement included the news that scrum-half Dan Robson is set for a spell out due to injury. He has since tweeted.

What’s on TV
Following the end of the Rugby Championship, all attention turns to Europe and the start of the Champions Cup. It begins with title holders Leinster hosting Wasps and it will be shown on BT Sport, who have exclusive rights this season.
On Sky Sports, the Currie Cup and Mitre 10 Cup competition continues with Southland and Auckland kicking off proceedings on Wednesday.
