New two-year deal for Jennings

Sale Sharks have announced that centre Mark Jennings has signed a new two-year deal with the Premiership club.

Jennings, who became the youngest player ever to sign for the club as a 16-year-old back in 2009, has represented England at U16, U18 and U20 level and is still only 24 years of age.

Director of Rugby Steve Diamond said: "Mark has come through the ranks at Sharks. He is a local lad from Lymm and has been mentored by internationals Johnny Leota and Sammy Tuitupou.

"He has stayed loyal to the club since joining as a 16-year-old and he will play a big part in what we are building at the club."

On signing his contract, Jennings said: "I'm delighted to have a new contract. It's an exciting place to be and I want to play my part in helping the club achieve its ambitions."
