Having landed two late drop goals to help his side to a crucial win over the Ospreys on Friday, Leinster fly-half Isa Nacewa will now miss a coupole of months with a broken arm.
Nacewa was operated on on Sunday in Dublin, and is unlikely yo be fit again until November 29, shortly before Leinster's back to back Heineken Cup matches against Castres.
“It's a shame for Isa but at least we have good options with the other boys,” coach Michael Cheika said.
“We'd hope to have Isa back for that Magners game (against the Dragons) on the 29th if everything goes okay.
“He did it late in the game and I asked him when he was walking off what was wrong and he said: 'I think I've broken my arm!' He had to make that last tackle like that so he's a pretty tough character.”
Leinster's other two big-name signings, flanker Rocky Elsom and prop CJ van der Linde, should both be fit and available for next week's Magners clash at home to local rivals Munster on Sunday.
