Munster: Bristol Bears centre Antoine Frisch final addition for Graham Rowntree’s 2022/23 squad

Munster have announced the signing of Antoine Frisch from Bristol ahead of the 2022/23 United Rugby Championship season.

The French centre made nine appearances for Bristol Bears this term, having spent the previous season in the French PRO D2 with Rouen Normandie.

The 25-year-old will qualify for Ireland upon arrival in Munster due to his Irish grandmother, offering Andy Farrell another midfield option to consider.

This move will likely be Munster’s last of the off-season with new head coach Graham Rowntree satisfied with the pieces he has to work with in 2022/23.

Munster puzzle complete

“There’s nothing more to be done recruitment-wise,” he told The Rugby Pod.

“I’m happy with where we’re at. We’ve got a great squad. We’ve got a load of good lads coming through. Just right about now, there’s a load of lads pushing.

“We know what’s coming through under that. We know what’s coming through in the school system. It’s a good project.”
