Glenn Moore will continue to coach the Highlanders for at least another three years of Super 14 rugby.
Glenn Moore will continue to coach the Highlanders for at least another three years of Super 14 rugby.
Highlanders chief executive Richard Reid said the agreement extended Moore's contract to the end of the 2011 competition.
Moore, who first coached the Highlanders this year, said he was utterly committed to the franchise and security of tenure meant a lot in terms of building a successful team.
The Highlanders finished 11th in this year's competition and Moore said while that was disappointing, there were encouraging signs for the future.
Earlier this week, Hawke's Bay coach Peter Russell was named as Moore's assistant.
Russell, who has plotted Hawke's Bay to successive semi-final appearances in the Air New Zealand Cup since they were admitted to the revamped competition, has now been tasked with helping revive the struggling Dunedin-based franchise.
