McBryde reveals Welsh inadequacy

Wales forwards coach Robin McBryde says that some Welsh players are set for a rude wake-up call next week when November is reviewed.
The Welsh, who have once again knocked on the door of victory against the three southern superpowers but once again come up short – unless they beat Australia on Saturday – have been through a gruelling month, in which the second string struggled to put away Canada.
McBryde said to the BBC that some of the squad had been 'found wanting' during the heavy training sessions, and that the reviews of the month next week will perhaps come as a surprise.
“A few players that have been found wanting and they'll be told in no uncertain terms next week,” said McBryde
“They need to re-address the way they approach the game, their attitude and their professionalism.”
Given that the Welsh were by some distance the best-performing of the home nations over the month, McBryde's unprompted broadside at his Wales players is a little surprising, but indicative of the new levels of aspirations under Gatland.
“This week we have not taken the foot off the gas,” he insisted.
“We've continued to challenge the lads and that has been reflected in the training sessions as they have been as physical and demanding as they were in the first week.
“We've kept on at them, we've been quite relentless in the way we challenged them both on and off the field.
“There have been a few players who have been found wanting and they'll be told in no uncertain terms next week.”
