Matt Toomua eyes big finish against Ulster
Leicester Tigers fly-half Matt Toomua is determined to end their European Champions Cup pool campaign on a positive at Welford Road on Saturday.
The Australia international started at 10 against Scarlets last week and it is unclear if he will stay there for this weekend’s clash with Ulster.
Wherever he plays though Toomua is hungry to put in a strong performance as the Tigers look for only their second win of the pool stage.
“It is still very much a big game for us, every match we play at Welford Road is,” the versatile back told Leicester Tigers’ official website.
“It has been a bit of a roller coaster for us and our fans at the moment,” he added regarding his side’s form which has been inconsistent.
“We’re taking two steps forward, one back and then two forward and we need to rid ourselves of that and keeping making strides forward.”

Those two steps forward mentioned include back-to-back bonus-point Premiership wins at home, which has given Toomua confidence.
“The club has a proud record at home and even if we can’t qualify for the knockout stages, we’ll be going out with that in mind,” he said.
“We’ve been really good at home in recent weeks and we’ll be going out there on Saturday to continue that.
“It’s a big opportunity to continue to improve our game, like Saints next weekend and make sure we go in to the Premiership with some better form and results.”
