Mallinder extends his stay with Northampton
Northampton Saints' Director of Rugby Jim Mallinder has signed a new three-year contract that will see him remain at Franklins Gardens until 2011.
Northampton Saints' Director of Rugby Jim Mallinder has signed a new three-year contract that will see him remain at Franklins Gardens until 2011.
Mallinder took charge at Northampton last year and has since guided them back into the Guinness Premiership after just one season in National League One.
Having committed to the Saints he his now relishing the challenge of re-establishing the club as one of the best in the country.
“I've enjoyed my return to a club environment immensely and am settled at Franklin's Gardens,” he said.
“We had success last season but the hard work starts here. Northampton Saints is a massive club with tremendous supporters and hardworking staff and it deserves to be at the top of English rugby.
“However it's going to be a long journey with plenty of challenges in a league that is the toughest in the world. Nevertheless it is that something I am looking forward to, along with everybody at the club.”
