Black Ferns win Women’s Rugby World Cup

New Zealand have won the Women's Rugby World Cup after beating England 41-32 in a thriller at Kingspan Stadium on Saturday.
Loosehead prop Toka Natua scored a hat-trick while full-back Selica Winiata grabbed a brace in their come-from-behind seven-try win.
Wales overcame hosts Ireland 27-17 to finish the tournament in seventh position, with tries from Caryl Thomas, Sioned Harries, Carys Phillips and Shona Powell-Hughes seeing them come out on top and end on a high note.
That victory came after Japan had beaten Hong Kong 44-5 to finish in 11th, with the latter nation ending their campaign with no wins carded.
The third game of the day, at Queen's University, was the ninth place play-off between Italy and Spain, which went to extra-time and in the sudden death format, scrum-half Sarra Barrattin was the hero with an 89th minute try.
Fifth spot went to Canada following an emphatic 43-12 victory over Australia that saw Elissa Alarie and Julianne Zussman grab a brace apiece. They led 24-12 at the break before running away with things in the second period.
Meanwhile at Kingspan Stadium, five-try France claimed the Bronze Medal after beating USA 31-23 in an entertaining clash that served as a warm-up for the fans to the main event, the final between New Zealand and England.
