Leinster lose Joe Tomane to long-term injury

Leinster have revealed that centre Joe Tomane has been ruled out for five months after he underwent surgery on a hamstring injury on Thursday.

Tomane, who only recently joined the province from Montpellier during the summer, sustained the injury in the 38-31 win over the Southern Kings a fortnight ago.

Losing Tomane is a blow as he covers both the wing and centre positions. Leinster face Ospreys next in the PRO14 on November 23.
