New Argentina coach Daniel Hourcade has appointed Juan Manuel Leguizamon as captain for the Pumas' November tour to England, Wales and Italy.
The 30-year-old Lyon loose forward, who is a veteran of 52 Tests for his country, takes over from Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe, who has been ruled out of the tour due to a fractured elbow.
“I am very pleased that I have to been given this responsibility and I do my very best,” said Leguizamón, who made his international debut against Japan in 2005.
“We have three very difficult games and we must put in a maximum amount of work each week to tackle them as best we can.
“Undoubtedly, this appointment is an honour for me as a player and I will seek to continue contributing my bit to help this team to continue to grow, as I have always done.”
