La Rochelle bring in Force fly-half

Western Force fly-half Zack Holmes is leaving Perth to join La Rochelle in the Top 14 next season.

The 25-year-old will replace Peter Grant who is returning to South Africa for personal reasons.

Holmes, who can play in several positions in the backline, will likely get a shot at fly-half, where he finished the season for the Force.

La Rochelle had already announced the arrivals of Bayonne hooker David Roumieu, Lyon scrum-half Ricky Januarie and Racing-Métro full-back Benjamin Lapeyre, while former Blues winger David Raikuna will join as a World Cup joker.
