Juan Imhoff to start for Argentina against New Zealand

Argentina have named their matchday squad for their opening Tri Nations Test against New Zealand at Bankwest Stadium in Sydney on Saturday.

The starting line-up has several experienced players and there is a welcome return to the international arena for veteran flyer Juan Imhoff, who will make his first appearance for Argentina since their semi-final defeat to Australia at the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England.

Imhoff starts on the left wing and is joined in the back three by Santiago Carreras, who will wear the number 15 jersey, and Bautista Delguy.

Test debut

Elsewhere, Santiago Chocobares will make his Test debut at inside centre and he forms a centre combination with Matías Orlando while Nicolás Sánchez and Tomás Cubelli are the starting half-backs.

The side will be captained by Pablo Matera, who starts on the blindside flank, while Rodrigo Bruni packs down at number eight with Marcos Kremer occupying the other back-row position.

Meanwhile, Matías Alemanno and Guido Petti are the two locks with Julián Montoya starting at hooker and he is joined up front by Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro and Francisco Gómez Kodela, who are the props.
