Jonker and Lawrence to ref semis

The referees for the Currie Cup semi-finals have been announced with Marius Jonker and Mark Lawrence named to officiate.

The referees for the Currie Cup semi-finals have been announced with Marius Jonker and Mark Lawrence named to officiate this weekend.

Jonker takes charge of the first semi-final on Saturday between the Sharks and Blue Bulls in Durban, while Lawrence is the man in the middle between Western Province and the Cheetahs in Cape Town.

The two other referees on the IRB international panel – Jonathan Kaplan and Craig Joubert – will officiate from the touchline as assistant referees in Durban and Cape Town respectively.

It's expected that either Kaplan or Joubert will take charge of the final on October 30.
