Jonathan Joseph set to miss South Africa series

Bath centre Jonathan Joseph looks set to be ruled out of England’s tour to South Africa due a foot injury sustained last weekend.

The back limped off during the West Countrymen’s heavy 41-6 defeat to Saracens on Sunday and will require surgery.

Director of rugby Todd Blackadder said: “JJ is going to need surgery to correct his injury. He will then need a lengthy period of time to rehabilitate.

“Our medical team will work closely with him to ensure we get him back on the pitch as soon as possible.”
