Jonathan Joseph returns to England squad

Centre Jonathan Joseph, who has 40 caps for his country, has been added to the England squad having proved his fitness at the weekend playing for club side Bath.

The talented midfielder has been out of action since last April after suffering an ankle injury, but returned to action against Toulouse on Sunday.

Todd Blackadder’s men succumbed 20-17 to Les Rouge et Noir, but Joseph did enough to force his way back into Eddie Jones’ plans for the upcoming Six Nations.

A match day squad of 25 will travel to Dublin on Thursday 31 January for the clash at the Aviva Stadium.

The squad includes four uncapped players with Ben Earl, Jack Singleton, Dan Robson and Ollie Thorley all named.
