Jean-Luc du Preez ruled out of Bok tour

SA Rugby confirmed on Monday that Sharks loose forward Jean-Luc du Preez will miss the Springboks' end-of-year tour to Europe with a fractured ankle.

Du Preez only lasted 22 minutes of Saturday's Currie Cup final defeat to Western Province in Durban after being injured in a tackle.

The 22-year-old has become an important squad member in the Springbok side and was named in the Bok squad on Sunday for the November internationals against Ireland, France, Italy and Wales.

But SA Rugby confirmed on their Twitter account that Du Preez would withdraw from the squad with immediate effect due to having fractued his ankle. A decision has yet to be made on whether or not Du Preez will be replaced for the tour.
