The Sharks have announced that Springbok scrum-half Jaden Hendrikse is among a group of players that have signed  new contracts.

The Durban-based side confirmed the news on Thursday, with Hendrikse inking a long-term deal until 2025.

The 21-year-old scored a try on his Test debut against Argentina in a Rugby Championship match in Gqeberha in August but has been sidelined after breaking his leg against the same opposition the following weekend.

Former World Rugby Sevens player of the year Werner Kok and promising loosehead prop Ntuthuko Mchunu and hooker Kerron van Vuuren have all put pen to paper until 2024.

Loose forward Jeandre Labuschagne has signed until 2023, while fly-half Jordan Chait, who has been plying his trade on loan for Tel Aviv, has signed until 2022.
