Exeter and England wing Jack Nowell will take on pro Man City Esports player Ryan Pessoa in three games of FIFA 20 live on Twitch on Friday.

The event was announced on Twitter on Wednesday and the duo’s battle takes place from 20:30 – 21:30 BST live on twitch.tv/ryanpessoa_ in three games of FIFA 20.

The high-profile match follows Pessoa’s defeat of Liverpool FC and England right back Trent Alexander-Arnold last Friday. Viewers will now get the chance to see if Nowell will be the next sportsman to be bested by Pessoa, or if as an avid FIFA player, he will be able to hold his own.

Pessoa and Nowell will take to the digital pitch as fans submit their questions in Twitch chat, offering an exclusive insight into the careers and lives of the two Red Bull athletes.

Famed for scoring a hat-trick on his Rugby World Cup debut, Nowell is one of England’s brightest rugby stars. Pessoa has been competing for Man City Esports since 2019 and is one of the best FIFA players in the world.

With sports on hold for the foreseeable future, sports stars around the world are taking to gaming and esports to fill the competitive void and keep their fans entertained. Alexander-Arnold, Max Verstappen, Ellis Genge and more have all been taking to Twitch to showcase their gaming skills.
