Heem worried for Lions

Former All Black Sevens player Bryce Heem believes the British and Irish Lions will struggle in their upcoming series against New Zealand.

Heem, 28, who plays his rugby for Worcester Warriors in the Premiership, arrived at Sixways from Super Rugby side the Chiefs in 2015.

He is therefore privy to both sets of players on the fast approaching tour and thinks the Lions will struggle for time ahead of the series.

"The Lions have got a great team to go over to New Zealand but I think the main thing is the travel," the wing told the Worcester News.

"A lot of players in their squad will be finishing with semi-finals and finals in their respective leagues before joining the Lions. It doesn't give them much time together as a squad and then they will be going over to New Zealand."

"They will then probably only be together for a few days before playing," he added.

"I think the length of time together is something which will be a massive factor for Lions, especially going up against the All Blacks who are in good form.

"I definitely think the All Blacks will win it."
