Edinburgh and Glasgow played out a thrilling 23-23 draw, with Glasgow mounting a dramatic late fightback to share the points.
Edinburgh were rewarded for their great start when Netani Talei's offload sent Ross Rennie over for a try. Greig Laidlaw added the extras.
Following a disallowed try, Laidlaw then booted the hosts ten in front, before Glasgow got on the scoresheet minutes later when Duncan Weir kicked a penalty to make it 10-3.
Laidlaw then missed the opportunity to restore the ten point advantage and, within minutes of the kick going wide, the match was tied.
Al Kellock spotted the gap next to ruck to score the try, with Weir's conversion levelling matters. Neither side could find more points before half-time.
Laidlaw's penalty attempt following the restart drifted wide, but he made no mistake when he was presented with another opportunity minutes later.
However, the scores were level again minutes later as Edinburgh were penalised at the scrum, allowing Weir a simple penalty goal.
The excitement continued when Edinburgh launched an eye-catching first phase attack, Tim Visser adding the finishing touch to score the try, before the Dutchman added a quickfire second.
Both conversions were missed, leaving the score at 23-13 with 25 minutes remaining.
Glasgow added another try on the hour mark when Colin Shaw collected a neat grubber to score, although the conversion was missed.
The visitors then went level when another kick caused chaos in the Edinburgh defence. Rauidh Jackson capitalised to score, but missed the conversion that would have put his side in front and, when his last-minute penalty fell just short, a draw was assured.
