Giteau hankers for home comforts

Force fly-half Matt Giteau again deflected suggestions he is uncomfortable in Perth and ready to leave on Thursday, even though his team is also enjoying more success away from home.
The Bulls, winless on their Australasian tour, are next up at Subiaco Oval on Friday having run the Blues mighty close in Auckland last week, and Giteau is marking the game up as the one to turn around the Force's home game fortunes.
“Last year we lost our first two at home and then we won the rest, bar the last game against the Blues. So hopefully the same thing will happen this year,” Giteau told Fairfax radio.
“It is strange, but I think I have only lost one game wearing that (away) yellow jumper, so I might wear it underneath the blue one.”
Last week the Force were desperately disappointing at home to the Stormers, going down 16-32 in Perth in a game they ought to have won. Four weeks ago, they threw away a 12-point lead at home to the Crusaders.
“It's is a tough one to what to put it down to,” said Giteau over the capitulation to the Stormers.
“Intensity at training was up, everyone seemed to be in a good frame of mind. It could be one of those things where you just put in a terrible performance.”
As with most conversations Giteau seems to be having these days, talk then turned to his re-signing, or the lack thereof, with the Force, despite his having signed for four more years with the ARU. But Giteau insisted it was nothing the Force should be worried about.
“I have started talks again with the Western Force. I love Perth and I love everything the Force have to offer at the moment,” Giteau said.
“What we are building at the club could be something really special for years to come. I am signed here until the end of 2009 and the way I am enjoying playing with the Force I see no reason why I would leave.”
