Giles set for knee surgery

Ospreys wing Keelan Giles will undergo reconstructive surgery after suffering a “significant knee ligament injury” against the Dragons.

The wing was stretchered off after an hour of the PRO14 derby clash at the Liberty Stadium on Friday and Chris Towers, Medical Performance Manager at the Ospreys, revealed the disappointing news on their website.

"Keelan has sustained a significant knee ligament injury and will require reconstructive surgery," he said. "We are currently in the process of seeking expert opinion to formulate the best course of management going forward and will provide appropriate updates when necessary."
