France: Gabin Villiere to miss Six Nations clash with Scotland in Edinburgh

There was good and bad news for France coach Fabien Galthie in the wake of his side’s win over Ireland in Paris on Saturday.

This year’s revelation, wing Gabin Villiere, will not be playing against Scotland in Edinburgh. Villiere took a blow to the face during the Ireland match and was later found to have suffered a sinus fracture. He should be back for the Six Nations match against Wales.

Teddy Thomas and Matthis Lebel are the names anticipated to be vying for Villiere’s on the team-sheet, with Gael Fickou also proposed by some should Jonathan Danty make a quick return to the centre.

Meanwhile, in better news for the longer term, it was revealed by Toulon that Charles Ollivon took part in his first full training session since wrecking his left knee eight months ago.
