Foley over concussion symptoms

Waratahs fly-half Bernard Foley is eyeing this weekend's match against the Southern Kings as an opportunity for his side to get back on track.

The Sydney-based side lost to the Hurricanes and Crusaders in their two previous games. They have won just two games from their opening seven, those victories coming against the Rebels and the Force.

They have really struggled against teams outside of their conference, but due to the fact they have won two out of three against fellow Australian sides, they are still in with a chance of qualifying for the finals.

And the good news is that their talisman and playmaker general Foley has recovered from his concussion symptoms that have kept him absent for the first half of the season.

The 'Tahs have a much better record with the 27-year-old in the side and the Wallabies fly-half is targeting the Kings clash as the perfect opportunity to turn their fortunes around.

“The concussion-like symptoms are done and dusted,” Foley told Fox Sports in Sydney on Monday before turning his attention to the Kings encounter.

“They’re a very dangerous team and we’ve seen the last couple of weeks how many points they do have in them.

“They’re a team that are going to challenge us.

“It’s not just (about) scoring points, it’s also getting our defence in line and getting our structures in place and taking every game, game by game.

“We can’t look ahead or look at what’s coming up, I think we just have to take it game by game and it starts today.

“This game’s an exciting chance for us getting back home in front of our fans.”
