Flood to turn out for Germany?

Former England fly-half Toby Flood could consider playing for Germany if deemed surplus to requirements for England.
Flood last played for England in 2013 before moving to Toulouse in France which subsequently made him unavailable for selection.
The 32-year-old finds himself down the English pecking order behind George Ford and Owen Farrell and is unlikely to add to his tally of 60 caps at the present moment.
Germany are an up-and-coming rugby nation and Flood, who is eligible through his German grandfather, may consider helping them in their bid to make the Japan 2019 Rugby World Cup.
German citizenship means a lot to Flood and he applied for a German passport following the Brexit vote.
"If there was any way of trying to help a fledgling rugby country, it would interest me," Flood told The Times.
"I have always been proud of being German. It would be nice to go back and connect it all together.
"My mum is the last remaining true Lieven and she went back to Germany about 10 years ago to put together the family tree, so if there was a chance to connect into that it would be great."
