Exeter Chiefs to release Michele Campagnaro

Exeter Chiefs have agreed to release Italian international Michele Campagnaro from his playing contract with the Premiership club from October 31.

Campagnaro, who joined the club in the summer of 2015 from Benetton Rugby, will then become a free agent, but is expected to join Wasps.

The 25-year-old centre, who was part of the match-day 23 when the Chiefs won the Premiership title in 2017, has made 27 first team appearances during his time at Sandy Park, scoring nine tries in the process.
